Damn, this one really hits. The way it captures that cycle of lying and cheating—it’s too real. I’ve seen people like this, the ones who always have one foot out the door while pretending they’re all in. That line about “hands you’ve held while reaching for the next” gave me chills. And the ending? Harsh. Some people will burn everything down and still act like they had nothing to do with it.

I See You

You say you love them.

You hold their hand and kiss their lips,

tell them they’re your world,

as you slip into another’s arms.

You think they won’t find out.

Your sure they won’t walk out.

Distance protects your lies—geography one of your alibis.

You’re so used to getting away with it,

you no longer cover your tracks.

One affair, then another.

Different faces, same excuses.

You don’t love—but love to take.

You drink them dry,

and hunt the next.

Still, they wait, they believe—

You make it easy. You turn guilt into pity, lies into misunderstandings.

You rewrite the truth,

until even you believe the lies.

I see the wreckage of your loves piled high,

hands you’ve held while reaching for the next.

You’re walking out a door that you will never fully close.

Whispering old lies to new loves.

When your house of cards burns down,

and the fire fails to warm your heart,

you’ll do what you've always done—

Claim you never lit the match, and the cycle just restarts.
